My first full film I ever scored. I started with the theme that plays towards the end, and incorporated a reoccuring synth motif that represents and plays during moments of Owen's inner turmoil.
Jupiter and Europa
Living on Jupiter's moon Europa isn't all it's cracked up to be. One day, on a boring maintenance mission, Owen breaks free from routine with someone who makes outer space feel a little warmer.

Jamie's Pond
A lonely naiad discovers a crying human child at the edge of their pond and tries to cheer him up. They soon discover they have more in common than meets the eye.

The director had settled on using a free-use score for the main length of the film (not shown), and it was up to me to identify the main musical elements of said score and write complementary tracks to score the rest of the scenes.

I used a polyrhythmic arpeggiating piano figure as the main foundation to represent the spirals throughout the film. I also really wanted to focus on sheer power and tender warmth of that final sunset cut, and decided on the timbres of electric guitar and bari sax.
The Everything Is Okay
Show
A once living artist stars on the Everything is Okay Show to complete his dying wish and move on to the next world.

To match the surreal nature of the film and the cabaret setting of the film, the director and I decided on an more experimental synth sound along with traditional orchestral instrumentation.

A bit of unfamiliar territory for me, I took inspiration from modern sitcom shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm that use a kind of self aware, comedic score for this clip,
Roller Palace
A scene from Roller Palace, where a young lady from a well upbringing must cope with the changes after her family's financial mishaps.
